The huge free-form pool meanders round a pavilion restaurant and an outdoor bandstand and dance floor. An established group entertain guests with soft jazz, blues and impromptu pop music. The pool deck is also the scene of more formal occasions such as cocktail receptions and alfresco dining.

Happy Hippo Club
Situated at the Zambezi Sun and available to children from both hotels. The Happy Hippo Club is open to children from 2 - 12 years of age and is a children's activity centre.

The entrée selection is superb from crayfish corn chowder, to crocodile terrine, and carpaccio of ostrich marinated with basil and mustard. Mighty salads, original vegetable dishes and meat and fish dishes make up the main courses and the desserts are sublime concoctions of chocolate ravioli and paw paw coulis.
