ACCOMMODATION: Southwestern-style guest accommodations at Westward Look Resort are spacious and serene, each with its own balcony or patio offering spectacular views of the mountains, desert, sunset or city lights. The newly renovated suite-sized rooms are clustered throughout the 80-acre resort, giving each a natural sense of privacy. The resort promises truly unique Tucson lodging and accommodations.

The décor is a casually elegant blend of the Spanish colonial, Mexican and Native American influences that are part of this area's rich cultural history. The resort grew around a 1912 homestead estate built just six months after Arizona became a state. In fact, the family living room is just off the lobby and features the original hardwood floor, stone hearth, wrought-iron chandeliers and ocotillo-ribbed ceiling.

Suite-sized Tucson accommodations feature both bedroom and sitting areas, plus generous bathroom and dressing areas. Two executive suites are also available, one with an outdoor firepit.

The resort has 244 suite-sized guest accommodations, appointed in a casually elegant Southwestern motif. Private entrances afford guests maximum privacy and tranquility, while enhancing the hotel's distinctive residential atmosphere.

The Wellness Center at Westward Look Resort, among the best Tucson spas, offers a rejuvenating retreat from the sensory overload of today's hectic lifestyle. At our Arizona spa, both men and women can relax, restore balance and invigorate body, mind and spirit. Native botanicals, warm stones and cleansing muds of the Sonoran desert are the foundation of this unique spa experience. Guests of our Arizona spa experience the benefits of therapeutic herbs and other native plants used by indigenous Southwest peoples for centuries. Sage, jojoba, aloe and other featured plants of the region grow just outside in the Wellness Garden. Few spas in Arizona can compare.

Relax on the solarium patio with breathtaking views of the Santa Catalina Mountains and the lush Sonoran desert. Linger inside by the cozy fireplace, reading a selection from the Wellness Library. Enjoy a delectable nutritious, garden-fresh Catalina Cuisine lunch. Experience unique desert therapies like the Desert Stone Massage, Three Muds Body Masque, Sonoran Revitalizer Facial and the Bath-in-a-Boot Foot Refresher. Our Tucson day spa is sure to have just what you need.

The Wellness Center is designed to recall the tradition of an Old West bathhouse - where a bath was considered the ultimate therapeutic luxury. The spa incorporates the original fireplace from the first guest cottage built at the historic resort. Rustic chairs and enamel cups evoke this spirit of the West. Colorful blankets inspired by Native Americans add to the cozy ambiance.

Nothing is as authentically Western as a horseback ride through the purple sage. Saddle up for an hour-long ride on our lush 80 acres, or head out for full-day rides through the oak woodlands of Madera Canyon or the riparian vegetation of Sabino Canyon. Sunset rides are particularly spectacular.

Suitable for children seven years and older as well as adults, the on-site walk-only trail rides require no prior experience. Our expert wranglers are happy to show you all the ropes about riding and controlling your horse.

Day-long riding adventures offer more experienced riders the opportunity to explore this fascinating terrain. Wranglers provide insights into the secrets of this legendary countryside made famous in countless Western movies.
