Just 55 kilometres from the Bandaranaike International Airport and 28 kilometres from Colombo"s Liberty Cinema lies the picturesque Hotel Blue Water, the newest attraction to Wadduwa, the quiet and charming town in which the hotel is located. Designed by reputed architect Geoffrey Bawa, the main theme for the hotel is his artistic use of water which gives Blue Water its name.

Mini ponds, streams, fountains and waterways dot the surroundings whilst the entrance corridor is flanked by water on either side. The water within the building flows into the resort giant swimming-pool which winds through the main lobby area and is estimated to be one of the largest in Asia.
